“Have a Total Lifestyle Transformation in Elken Way, Now in the Philippines”

Its been a while since I’ve been able to blog, with an 8-5 job plus endless hours of being on the road due to traffic I’m always drained. It’s so good to finally have some time to be able to blog.

A year ago the newest leading Malaysian direct selling company Elken arrived in the Philippines. It has continuously rolled out its goal – to provide world-class quality products with holistic approach in health, beauty, well-being, and business opportunities not just for Asian country citizens but now specifically to all Filipinos.

“We want to let Filipinos know that we are here to unify them in our common cause to enrich lives together by making a positive difference in people’s lives through the wonders of Elken products. We are looking after the stories on how Elken products change people’s lives,” said David Wong, General Manager of Elken International Philippines, Co. Ltd., during their maiden bloggers conference last November 29.

True to its philosophy “Builds you to Building Others”, Elken started its humble beginning in 1995 from a space that measured less than 25,000 square feet sharing the vision to enrich lives by nurturing and empowering people to create opportunities of a positive life transformation. It is an enhanced collagen powdered drink formulated to protect the skin from ageing, maintain the skin’s natural system to protect against external elements, and boost immune system which is a combination of Red Orange complex, Viqua Active with ADS Nano Delivery and Collative active.

Solution to coffee-lover Filipinos who are also maintaining healthy lifestyle, Elken has ElCafé – a premium quality 5-in-1 coffee with Ginseng and Gingko Biloba extract made from the finest of Arabica and Robusta coffee powder and non-dairy creamer that surely enchants Filipinos by its rich aroma, and giving them extra energy to cope up their daily work routines anytime every day.

Nissan Special Screening

I’m back to attending events finally after nearly a year I get the opportunity to go somewhere new and meet new people. I was invited to watch the special screening of the finalists of Nissan: GTA Academy. Where they showed episodes of the time the finalists spent in Silverstone, UK. It showed a bit of drama, happy memories, motivation and inspiration. It was great to watch them on the big screen after seeing the six finalists last year where they were announced that they would be battling out against each other and countries in Asia.

Congratulations to Joward Policarpio for winning against other Asian countries and for making the Philippines proud. It was a blessing to watch this on the big screen and would love to see the winner race even more hopefully against other countries and not just in Asia.

Common Room

Are you a fan of arts and crafts? This place is the perfect place for you! Common room is full of handmade goods such as wallets, bags, postacards, pillows you name it. They even have caligraphy pens, ink and the whole sets complete.

The downside would be the price but what do you expect. It is a room full of arts and crafts made by a variety of artists put in one place.

To top it off the music is calm and the vibe will make you wonder off into another world as you stroll around. I think even if you don’t want to you you really will end ip buying something.

It’s a place to just spend your money that you won’t regret!

Blogapalooza 2015

As I continue to blog not as frequently as I should, I find myself learning new things and seeing what I have to improve or do to make my blog even better. Blogapalooza is an event where it helps bloggers promote and collect sponsors to help them with their blogs. Blogapalooza helped me to see all the things I can blog about or do for my blog. There were speakers there one in particular who said that as she continued to blog she realized that she should find a particular field that she should concentrate on. This is something I still have to look for, on top of that she said a blog should be updated at least once a week. I definitely need to start updating my blog however there are times when I really can not do this as I still haven’t found a field that I want to concentrate on.

Going around the booths, there were a variety of things that I saw and learned; there were booths for hotels, food, beauty and much more. All of them seemed very interesting. I handed out my business card hoping that they will help me promote my blog and that they at least appreciate my blog.

Digital Campus Suite

Growing up technology has come a long way, from beepers to cell phones to wifi etc. Today it continues to expand and countries are adapting and using technology for everything. Literally everything you want or need can be done through the power of technology.

PLDT, Smart, Samsung and Microsoft Office have decided to come together and help schools, teachers and students adapt to technology. Making everything through  technology such as sharing notes, lectures, group meetings and everything needed for school.

Smart and PLDT have combined to make connectivity quicker and easier so group meetings can be done without having to personally meet up. No more over nights and long travels just to do work. Everything can now be done in our beds.

It is great the Philippines has cone to this, making the lives of students easier and hassle free. But sadly the day will come when students and teachers will rarely have to come in as everything will be done before stepping outside the house.

The greatest advantage of this is when applying for jobs as today the majority of the jobs require these technological skills. It will be so useful for when fresh graduates have these skills they will be an advantage to companies knowing their way around technology.

Nissan GT Academy Finals: Race to Silverstone, UK

My third and last event that I got to cover was the Nissan GT Academy Finals: Race to Silverstone, UK. It was the first time I ever experienced the real struggles of photography. Where you had bend your backs, find the perfect angle as fast as you can and squeeze in with the rest of the photographers surrounding you. All I had as my iphone while the rest rest have their professional cameras out. It was very hard to get a decent picture especially as there were twenty finalists followed by the top 6 finalists of the competition. Another struggle was trying to remember every ones names and what they were saying. I was using my multi-tasking skills to the max that night.

The event was to announce the top 6 finalists who will win a chance to go all the way to Unite Kingdom to train and become real race card divers. They entered the competition by playing Grand Turismo in the mall then the top 20 would be picked. They were malls over the Philippines such as Metro Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro.

Then the top finalists came together that night Wednesday July 15, 2015 for the announcement of the lucky winners. Their excitement on their faces lead to bright red faces and tears in their eyes. Upon getting on the stage they would automatically put their hoodies on to cover the excitement and disbelief on their face. It touched my heart to be able to witness something like this, from just playing on a Playstation on virtual reality they will get to be behind wheels on real race cars. This must be a dream come true for them and their families.

It was a great that I got to be at the front stage capturing this special moment for them. It was another highlight of my internship. I would love to do this again in the future.

Here is the article I wrote for my internship

The top 6 finalists for the Nissan GT Academy Finals: Race to Silverstone, U.K. were announced in Mall of Asia, The Atrium last Wednesday July 15, 2015.

Tears fell and faces turned red as reality hit the top 6 finalists that they will be awarded with an opportunity to fly all the way to Silverstone Race Circuit in UK on August.
Along with them they will be mentored by Filipino-Swiss Lotus F1 Junior Team race car driver Marlon Stockinger who will be with them throughout their whole time at the academy.
The competition was launched on March 25, where over 15,000 virtual racers from all over the Philippines such as Metro Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro came together to play the Grand Turismo care racing game on PlayStation. They were given over 30,000 trails that was during three-months of live events.
The competition was not just about race driving but they were also tested with ability and physical strength like hurdle tests such as the sergeant jump, planking, push ups and the bleep tests.
NPI President and Managing Director Antonio Zara said, “We’re happy to be giving aspiring racers and gamers the opportunity to turn their dreams into reality. By democratizing motorsports in the country, we help fast-track the dreams of more potential Filipino racers to reach the international racing arena.”
Also, they will be starring in a reality television show that will be broadcast on ABS-CBN sports within the year, presenting their training, struggles, emotions and performances to become the next professional race car drivers.

Naso Clear

For the second time in my ojt I got to go back to Quezon City, this time to a hotel. The Luxent Hotel held a press conference for Naso Clear, a spray to help protect our health from all the different kinds of pollution.

It was only in this press conference that I actually realized that pollution is very harmful for us. It effects our nose, lungs and can even effect the heart. There are so many factors that make up pollution that we do not even realize. Pollution surrounds us everywhere we go but we forget or maybe don’t realize that it is bad for our health.

I didn’t even know that there are different levels of pollution and it even gets to a point where we shouldn’t even be going out.

Naso Clear helps clear our nose and makes it easier for us to breathe destroying all the bacteria that we inhale. The great thing about it is that it is so cheap, costing only P71-74 pesos. A bottle can last up to two weeks if used daily. This is a great price seeing as I spend way more than this, so I would definitely love to give it a try one day.
